Roundabout Preschool
Under Fives Roundabout is a registered charity and not-for-profit community group, established in 1980 in the Round Church Hall. We moved into our own premises for preschool in September 2008. We are passionate about providing a stimulating, fun, nurturing and educational environment in which children can learn and grow, and develop their confidence in readiness for primary school. The heart of the community
We are overseen by a committee of local parents and have children and the community at the heart of what we do. As well as running events for the children and their families, we also run a toddler group for children under five and their carers. This provides a stimulating environment for your little ones to explore and grow whilst offering a supportive community for parents and carers. Find out more here.
What people love about us
“The love and care for the children is just so apparent – they are all happy and confident and comfortable with you. The staff clearly know the children inside out.” – 2023 Parent
“We’ve seen a big improvement in our daughter’s social skills, playing nicely with other children, communicating and taking part with the group. Thank you for all of your patient guidance.” – 2023 Parent
“We love Roundabout; in our eyes without doubt the best nursery in Cambridge. The staff’s commitment to the children, the ethos of the setting and Sam’s leadership are outstanding. We love the variety of activities which are on offer, the lovely outdoor space which is well used to provide the children with a range of outdoor learning experiences, and the celebration of different cultures and celebrations. We feel that Roundabout has given all three of our children the confidence to transition into school happily and confidently, which in our eyes was the most important thing.” -2023 Parent
“The free-flow play environment promotes children’s independence extremely well and encourages them to freely explore and investigate both indoor rooms and the outdoor learning environment.” Ofsted
